Abstract : Multidisciplinary education is a type of educational strategy that combines various disciplines to produce acomprehensive learning environment. It is intended to promote an understanding of how various fields areconnected to one another and how they can be combined for improved problem-solving. This strategy promotescritical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creative thinking. The three main categories of modernapproaches to curricular integration, according to the International Bureau of Education (IBE-UNESCO), aremultidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, andtransdisciplinary. India has a long history of interdisciplinary andholistic education, from institutions like Takshashila and Nalanda to the vast body of literature in India thatcombines topics from various disciplines. A good education was defined as knowledge of the 64 Kalaas, or arts,in ancient Indian literature like Banabhatta &;Kadambari. These 64 ;arts included not only subjects like singingand painting but also scientific fields like chemistry and mathematics, vocational fields like carpentry andclothes-making, professional fields like medicine and engineering, and soft skills like communication,discussion, and debate. New National Education Policy 2020 play a very important role Towards a MoreHolistic and Multidisciplinary Education. NEP-2020 states that education must produce all-arounders who excelin every area of life. The comprehensive and holistic education that will be provided in the NEP-2020 era will have it as its goal and objective.
