Abstract : Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine, is celebrated for its holistic approach to health and well-being. At the heart of Ayurveda lies Panchakarma, a therapeutic regimen encompassing five cleansing and rejuvenating procedures. This paper delves into the profound significance of Panchakarma in Ayurveda, shedding light on its relevance in the modern world. The foundational principles of Ayurveda are explored, emphasizing the unique constitution of each individual, health as harmony among body, mind, and spirit, and the focus on prevention and restoration of equilibrium. The five procedures that constitute Panchakarma - Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana - are discussed in detail. Panchakarma's universal appeal is examined, including its role in detoxification, stress management, disease prevention, holistic healing, and personalized medicine.
