Abstract : Children are the country's future citizens, so making sure they grow up well is the most important thing for the country to do. Children all over the world do a lot of things that could be considered work. These range from things that are harmless or even admirable, like helping out at home, to people who are physically dangerous or morally wrong. Child labour is a hard and controversial subject.
Millions of children work in messed-up, dangerous ways that are clearly wrong and hurtful to them. India is one of the countries where the percentage of "child labourers" is one of the highest. In recent years, the government, social scientists, non-profits, and others have paid a lot of attention to child labour. The Indian Constitution also says that the rights of children will be protected. Even though there is more social awareness and more laws against it, the number of children working is going up.
There are also many social reasons why children work, such as not having enough money, having a big family, living in poverty, not being able to read or write, etc. So, the issue of child labour needs to be looked at not only by the Legislature, the Executive, and the Courts, but also by social reformers, research and educational institutions of the NGO who care about the development and growth of the nation. Child labour can't be stopped overnight because it has deep roots. To stop children from working, laws should be followed to the letter.
