Abstract : The English word "promotion" is derived from the Latin word "promovere," which literally translates to "to move forward." Marketers refer to a communicative activity known as "promotion," the goal of which is to advance a product, service, or idea within a channel of distribution. The word "promotion" is used to describe this activity. The goal of promotion is to effectively communicate to target audiences the results that were achieved through the implementation of the marketing strategy. Communication in the form of promotion is an active and explicit form of marketing.
