Abstract : Besides from their vital characteristics, most consumer and industrial items require appealing packaging and a name. Packaging not only protects the goods but also adds value to it, which frequently justifies a higher price, as in the case of perfumes. Similarly, the brand name aids in instant recall, which is vital for differentiating rival items of similar character. In the Indian context, product branding and packaging have changed dramatically. We now have our own Indian names, as opposed to largely multinational brand names.
