Abstract : All of the body's major functions are controlled by the nervous system. The central and peripheral nervous systems are separated. The somatic and autonomic nervous systems, which control voluntary and involuntary functions, are both part of the peripheral nervous system. The ANS is in charge of the body's vegetative functions. Circulation, respiration, digestion, and body temperature regulation are examples of these functions.
