Abstract : Ibuprofen is evaluated using neutralisation titration, wherein the free carboxylic group is titrated with sodium hydroxide solution using phenolphthalein as an indicator. The quantity of sodium hydroxide consumed throughout the reaction reveals the concentration of ibuprofen in the sample.
