Abstract : The term "heterosexuality" was coined in the early twentieth century to distinguish "morbid sexual behaviours" between men and women, such as oral and anal penetration, from "normal" procreative sex. Bisexuals were once assumed to be just homosexual men or lesbian women who were frightened to reveal their sexual orientation. "Each community that is collectively included has worked to build its own identity, including whether and how to identify with other gender and sexuality-based communities, at times excluding other subgroups; these disputes persist today." Here the researcher will try to discuss the various steps which lead to decriminalising of Section 377 and its impact.
