Pharmacology is a medical subject that is essential to the medical profession since medications are the foundation of human disease treatment. As a result, describing the pharmacological basis of treatments is critical with the purpose of optimizing the advantages and reduce the hazards of medications to patients. This handbook on Pharmacology is primarily intended for undergraduate students belong to various fields of health science like pharmacy, midwifery, laboratory technology and nursing. Moreover, other professionals of healthcare sector whose work consist of drug therapy or related topics, should find this handbook very useful.
The purpose of this handbook is to equip the readers with a basic knowledge of scientific concepts of pharmacology. To aid comprehension, the effects of archetypal medicines on physiological and pathological systems are thoroughly discussed. Other similar medications are briefly discussed. The medications were chosen based on the Indian national drug list and my expertise teaching pharmacology to a variety of health professions faculties.

Mohammad Rashid Iqbal completed his M. Pharm degree from Jamia Hamdard University and PhD is about to complete from Glocal school of Pharmacy, Glocal University Saharanpur India. He having 5years of teaching experience and 3 years of industrial experience in pharmacovigilance and medical writer domain. He served as faculty in various reputed pharmacy institute in Delhi/NCR He qualified GPAT twice and his area of Research interest is Neuro pharmacology. He attended more than 30 national and international conferences & seminars.
