The world today is experiencing an unprecedented rapidity of change through advances in research and technology along with collaboration across disciplines. As we navigate this rapidly changing environment, innovation is becoming increasingly essential to economic success, industrial evolution and the overall development of society. The edited volume "Emerging Perspectives & Advances in Research and Development: Driving Innovation Across Sectors" was designed with the intention of providing an academic forum to identify and showcase the current and emerging aspects of knowledge and practice in this evolving field. In addition to collecting writings from academics, researchers and business practitioners; this collection highlights the most recent advances and developing trends occurring across multiple disciplines. The writing contained herein also demonstrates an active attempt to close the divide between abstract research theory and real-world practical application. A number of the authors provide examples of ways in which innovative solutions can be developed using technological innovations, along with applications in education, health care, environmental sustainability and other fields.

An aim of this publication is to promote cross-disciplinary communication. Due to the interconnectivity of today's world, problems facing individuals cannot typically be solved by applying concepts from just one area. Therefore, many of the authors employed an integrated approach. They combined their viewpoints to create a broader base for understanding and opened avenues for future research and development. This collection provides a framework for facilitating this type of communication while encouraging collaboration and stimulating potential future study. The second major goal of this book is to develop themes specific to emerging economies and global issues, where innovation is a vital component in resolving socio-economic challenges. Through case-based analyses, conceptual frameworks and empirical studies, this book develops models illustrating how research-based innovation may support inclusive growth and sustainable development.

It is expected that the information found in this publication will serve as a reference source for scholars, policy makers, business practitioners and students seeking to comprehend the continuously changing nature of research and how it supports innovation. Our expectation is that the various concepts, results, theories and methodologies discussed throughout this book will generate interest in conducting research, encourage creative problem-solving skills and ultimately lead to a greater accumulation of knowledge across sectors.

Again, we wish to express our sincerest appreciation to all those whose efforts were required for the completion of this book including authors, peer-reviewers and supporters.
